Illuminating communities through the gospel and service

The Luminar Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting integral development through ministerial, social, educational, missionary, and cultural strengthening initiatives. Our work focuses on the strengthening of cross-cultural missions, community impact, and the theological training of the communities we serve.

Serving where the
gospel is needed

MISSION

We serve communities in contexts of vulnerability (spiritual, educational, and social) and with little access to the gospel, through cross-cultural missions whose purpose is the formation and equipping of disciples and leaders with a biblical foundation. We seek for the gospel to transform lives, give purpose, develop character, and produce a social impact where each person contributes to social service within their context.

VISION

To strengthen our projects and seeking to reach communities where the lack of spiritual knowledge and educational formation is a limitation; achieving generations trained in biblical truth, with access to comprehensive education and capable of leading social transformation processes sustainably in their own contexts.

PROJECTS

Our projects aim to make an impact through the gospel, improving the quality of life for children, youth, and the elderly in vulnerable conditions (physical, economic, social, mental, intellectual, psychosocial, and spiritual), encouraging cultural strengthening within the population as well as communication and leadership skills, through actions that respond to their needs.

Currently, we carry out our work through three projects: Casa Crea, Instituto Bíblico Gracia y Redención (IBGR), and Missions, supporting initiatives such as the Wayuu Mission and projecting towards new missionary works.

Education

Casa Crea

casacrea@iglesiaverdadygracia.org

It is an informal pedagogical support center designed to strengthen families that homeschool under a Christ-centered worldview. Through integrative modules and dynamic workshops, we promote collective learning that equips parents as the primary educators of their children. Due to our alliance with Olive Trees Christian School, we facilitate official academic certification in the United States, allowing families to focus on their most transcendent mission: shepherding the heart of the next generation.

Theological Training

IBGR

ibgr@iglesiaverdadygracia.org

The IBGR institute is a joint initiative of the Christian Church Verdad y Gracia and Christian Community Redención Church. It offers a two-year theological and ministerial training program (total 18 classes) and provides training in areas such as the character of a servant, hermeneutics, biblical theology, expository preaching, church planting, church history, among others. Through IBGR, we manage alliances with seminaries, Bible institutes, and local churches to offer theological training programs that help the training and equipping of church members, leaders, and servants of different ministries.

🌍
Missions

Missions

The purpose of the foundation is to support and serve in cross-cultural missions, proclaiming the gospel, seeking to train leaders, plant churches, and make an impact on communities. Currently, through the foundation, we support the Wayuu Mission, which is led by our local church (Christian Church Verdad y Gracia). We want to connect with and support other cross-cultural missions in different countries of the world, so that the gospel continues to advance "to the ends of the earth." In the medium term, we seek to establish a cross-cultural missions training center to support and to equip local churches that are considering sending missionaries to the field.

Wayuu Mission

misionwayuu@iglesiaverdadygracia.org

By God's grace, for more than ten years, the Wayuu Mission has served in the mission field, carrying out the Great Commission and supporting the training of pastors and leaders of the Wayuu ethnic group in northern Colombia. Efforts have focused on the theological training of Wayuu pastors and leaders, as well as improving the living conditions of the communities through water filters, aid material, and the distribution of Bibles.

With God's guidance, starting in 2026

A full-time missionary family will lead the work with the Mawou community in the upper Guajira, focusing on theological training, education through a classroom equipped with technology, and promoting community sustainability through productive initiatives.
